The Leica TS-APO-Elmar-S 120 mm f/5.6 ASPH. allows control of perspectives and the location of the plane of focus. Perspectives remain unchanged when altering the viewing angle. This allows the correction of converging verticals in architectural photos, for example. Tilting the lens permits precise placement of the plane of focus so that a flat object viewed from the side is completely sharp at maximum aperture. Conversely, tilting the plane of focus in the opposite direction to the elongation of the subject may be used to significantly reduce depth of focus.

The Elmarit-S 30 mm f/2.8 ASPH., with its wide angle of view equivalent to 24mm in 35mm format, opens up a multitude of new opportunities for creative composition, particularly in the fields of interior,
architectural and landscape photography. At the same time, a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 lets S-System photographers work with shallow depth of field and selective focus, despite the lens' wide angle of view, and shoot in available light. The angle of view of the Leica Super-Elmar-S 24 mm f/3.5 ASPH. corresponds to that of a 19 mm lens in 35 mm format and, as a super-wide lens, opens up an enormous range of creative opportunities in image composition ? particularly in indoor, architectural and landscape photography. The design of the lens is optimised for outstanding contrast rendition and high resolution. Its superior imaging qualities are guaranteed from its closest focusing limit to infinity. Thanks to a high degree of correction, the images it delivers are almost completely free of distortion.

The Apo-Macro-Summarit-S 120 mm F/2.5 CS can be used universally as a close-up lens for a reproduction scale of 1:2 or as a high speed portrait telephoto lens. It guarantees consistently high image performance from an endless to an extremely close focussing range by combining an inner focus system with a floating element. Special highly refractive glass with anomalous partial dispersion ensures an outstanding reproduction of contrasts and sharpness right up to the periphery of the image. As is the case with all the s-objectives, the photographer can rely on a consistently high performance at all distance settings and apertures. As a result, subsequent correction with software is not required. The Apo-Macro-Summarit-S 120 mm F/2.5 CS is suited for many applications due to its superb close-up capabilities and integrated focal plane shutter.

The Leica Summarit-S 35mm f/2.5 ASPH Lens is a classical wide angle lens with high optical performance. Two aspherical lenses together with special highly refractive glass with atypical partial dispersion, yields excellent sharpness and contrast throughout the image field. This reference-class lens displays consistently high image performance utilizing an inner focusing system with a floating element.

This lens displays maximum performance across the entire image field at all apertures. With a broad effective range of focus (minimum distance of 21.65' (55cm), it is possible to produce unusual and attractive compositions. With Leica's high-degree of lens precision there is almost no discernable vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberrations. Thus, images don't require a large amount of post-production corrections.

As a classical standard lens, the SUMMARIT-S 70 mm F/2.5 ASPH. produces a high richness of contrast up to the 0.5 metre minimum distance setting due to a floating element. The SUMMARIT-S 35 mm F/2.5 ASPH. CS is a classical wide angle lens for the s-system with an exceptionally high optical performance. Two aspherical lenses together with special highly refractive glass with anomalous partial dispersion guarantee excellent sharpness and high contrasts even at the extreme edges of the image. The excellent results are maintained at close range thanks to a background focussing feature. The minimum distance setting of 55 cm opens up attractive composition options, making it possible to include objects in the foreground with excellent results. The integrated focal plane shutter ensures that the Summarit-S 35 mm F/2.5 ASPH. CS performs effectively with studio flash units. The high speed, moisture protection and compact design also make it a reliable partner combined with the LEICA S2 for outdoor photography.

The Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30?90 mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. has the same imaging characteristics as a 24?72 mm zoom lens in 35 mm format. It combines a universally versatile range of focal lengths, compact construction and low weight with extraordinarily high imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range to ensure extremely flexible and fatigue-free photography, particularly important for longer sessions.

With its extremely wide lens opening, the Apo-Elmar-S 180 mm F/3.5 CS telephoto lens enables photographers to take portrait shots with an incredibly shallow depth of field. Special highly refractive glass with anomalous partial dispersion ensures apochromatic correction and a superb reproduction of contrasts, delivering outstanding results across the entire image field at all apertures. The lens therefore reliably produces perfect images that don?t require correction with software. Equipped with an inner focus system, the Apo-Elmar-S 180 mm F/3.5 CS is effective even at a 1.5 metre minimum distance setting without jeopardising quality. It is therefore possible to produce images with a 1:7 scale. Similarly to all the s-system components, the lens is protected from moisture and is very versatile; the integrated focal plane shutter enables photography in studios with professional flash units.
