With the camera held firmly, the Leica M is quite capable of producing sharp handheld shots down to 1/15 second - that's one of its strengths. It is well known that the Leica M's focal-plane shutter causes little vibration when it fires. But for lengthy exposure times, a tripod and Cable Release are essential. The remote release for the Leica M, featuring a conical thread, is screwed into the shutter release bushing. A locking screw lets you make long time exposures at the B setting.

This 3D printed hood cap exclusive to Red Dot Cameras replaces the hood cap for Leica Q models (Except Q3 43). Made of TPE the cap fits the hood securely when the lens is not in use.
