The new Leica Ultravid HD-Plus 42 binoculars announced at photokina 2014 will be available from authorised Leica dealers from November 2014. Each model is supplied complete with a padded, high-quality Cordura case for optimum product protection. Also included are front lens and eyepiece caps and a contoured neoprene carrying strap.

800 mm focal length, that is, what offers the combination of a Leica APO-Televid spotting scope with a Leica Photo-Adapter and the Leica M-Camera. The Focus-Picing-Funktion provides you the possibility of sharpest pictures, the full frame sensor offers unbeatable brilliant images even in twilight conditions. APO Televid Spotting scopes and the Photo-Adapter are robust and waterproofed up to a depth of 5 Meter. The Leica Ultravid 50 HD-Plus models provide excellent contrast and outstanding image brightness that other binoculars with larger front-lens diameters can hardly rival. The APO-Televid 82 delivers superb optical performance for brilliant insights into nature that are rich in detail and contrast - from dawn until dusk. The combination of the apochromatic optics with their new FL glass and the 82 mm front lens diameter increase the light yield, compared to the previous models, by more than 6%! The eye piece is fast bayonet mounted and has a magnification of 25x to 50x. It has a very wide angle viewing area, which gives the user a unusually wide field view. The object you are viewing is not only magnified, but also the surrounding area and thus its context can also be observed exactly.
You can now also take a "scoped" photo of your favourite subject easily using an adapter designed specifically for the LEICA D-LUX4 digital camera.

The compact 42 mm Duovid offers both 8x magnification, with a wide field of view and a shake-free image, as well as a 12x magnification, ideal for discerning additional detail. As with the 50 mm model, the patented eyepieces with two click stops provide optimum eye relief and can be adapted to the needs of the viewer. Changing magnification is done separately for both tubes by turning the two rings. Automatic Diopter Compensation (ADCTM ), the diopter value you set is retained even when changing magnification.

All Leica binoculars (Not including compacts) are waterproof to a depth of at least 4m. With the floating neoprene carrying strap they will always remain afloat, allowing for the care-free use of Leica binoculars near or in water. The strap?s eye-catching signal orange color offers optimum visibility, so the binoculars can be found easily and quickly. The Ultravid models, black, leather covered, not only look attractive with their pleasantly handy leathering, they are also extremely compact and perfect for demanding observations. The highest technical precision can be found in the smallest of spaces. The large focusing wheel offers enormous ease of use. In addition, it can be precisely adjusted to a wide variety of observation situations. The extremely short focusing distance of a little more than one revolution enables you to quickly find the optimum focus point.

Ever-ready Case for Apo Televid 82 W
The new neoprene cover for the Leica APO Televid 82 W spotting scopes fits securely around the body of the spotting scope. The durable neoprene protects the optics against impacts and guarantees comfortable handling. The long opening at the centre of the bag allows a smooth rotation of the mounted spotting scope along the longitudinal axis. For longer transportation the carrying strap can be fixed to the spotting scope bag. To prevent the carrying strap from swinging in the wind, it can be easily taken off again. The covers for front lens, eyepiece and focusing barrel are made of robust Cordura. Eyepiece as well as front lens are the most exposed parts of the spotting scope. Thanks to the Cordura covers they are protected against impacts, scratches from thorns and rough terrain. With additional buttons both covers can be fixed to the spotting scope to prevent them from swinging in the wind.

The Duovids with 50 mm lens diameter and optional 10x or 15x magnification close the gap between binoculars and a spotting scope with their 15x magnification.

This Duovid is a high-aperture, high-performance set of binoculars that becomes a mini spotting scope with a simple flick of the wrist. In the 10x position, it offers a steady image with a large depth of field. Changing to 15x allows for a level of detail recognition that was previously reserved for spotting scopes. All of this with using both eyes! Because of its excellent imaging performance, the 50 mm Duovid is especially suited for astronomical viewing, and the necessary tripod adapter is included with the binoculars. The ergonomic form and tactile rubber reinforcement ensure a sure grip - even in wet and with gloves - and for good image steadiness.
